The Health Centre

The College has its own Health Centre staffed by a team of three Registered Nurses, with a collective wealth of experience in a range of clinical settings, as well as a First Aid trained Healthcare Assistant.

With a fully equipped medical treatment room, comfortable day room, bedrooms and bathrooms, the College Health Centre is located in the heart of the College campus and provides high quality care for all students, staff and visitors alike.

The Team’s work focusses on achieving healthy bodies & healthy minds, collaborating with students and their parents to achieve this.

The Health Centre hosts onsite GP clinics (for residential boarders) and has forged strong links to additional external medical, dental and psychological support services.

The Nursing Team manages the care of students holistically, with due regard to both physical and mental wellbeing.  The extended Health Centre Team includes a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, a Psychodynamic Counsellor and a Coach who form part of the College’s pastoral support provision.  Appointments with these therapists are held within the Health Centre’s private counselling room.

Health Centre operating times are 08:00-17:30 Monday – Friday and 08:30 – 13:00 on Saturdays, with an on-call Nursing service in place for boarders outside of these times.

Appointments are not necessary for the drop-in, Nurse-led clinics which are run before school*, at lunchtime and after school*.  Students may also attend the Health Centre outside of these clinic times if they require First Aid or pain relief.
